FITCHBURG — Candidates vying for the three spots on the school committee were asked to answer questions that touched on several crucial school-related issues ahead of the debate that will take place this Wednesday. The candidates who will fill the seats carrying four-year terms will be determined by voters on Nov. 7. The Wednesday, Oct. 11 debate will be held from 6-7 p.m. at the Fitchburg Access Television studios at 780 Main St. School Committee member James M. Walsh is the only incumbent candidate on the ballot for the Fitchburg School Committee this year and is the first Q&A in this series.
