Springfield and Boston residents look like they won't have to spend the majority of their Saturday shoveling the fallout from Friday's snowstorm but Pittsfield, Greenfield and parts of Northern Massachusetts are likely to receive the brunt of a winter storm that could drop up to a foot of snow. Western Mass. communities closer to the New Hampshire border, including Pittsfield and Greenfield, are expected to be hit hardest by the snowstorm, with 8 to 12 inches of snow falling Friday night into Saturday.
