LEOMINSTER — A motor vehicle stop has led to the arrest of a man allegedly connected to an armed robbery at a Cumberland Farms in Fitchburg, State Police said Thursday. Eddie Colon, 18, of Fitchburg was stopped in a Sears parking lot in a gray Nissan Altima around 11:33 a.m. Wednesday because his vehicle had no front license plate. After Colon was observed 'moving erratically and reaching around the front seat area,' he was removed from the vehicle by Massachusetts State Trooper Ryan Tobin, who then searched Colon and the vehicle and recovered a loaded handgun with a laser sight as well as a mask, other articles of clothing, a bag containing marijuana above the legal limit to possess and a liquid prescription bottle in someone else's name, according to State Police.
